A Pulaski County deputy was involved in a 4-car accident at the busy intersection of Financial Centre Parkway and Shackleford Road at around 9:30 Thursday morning.

The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office says the deputy had radioed in just before the accident that the traffic light at that intersection was out.

That intersection is apart of a major construction zone to extend Interstate 630 over Shackleford Road.

The deputy involved in the accident suffered a cut to his head. He is expected to be okay.

No word on injuries to the other drivers involved.
